After a painful late-May night on Burlington's waterfront we followed the Monsterbuck trail to the Recovery Lounge

in Upper Jay, NY, a land of indescribable beauty where night-time amusements are not lacking and you could also be

offered farm-fresh bacon and eggs in the morning.

Not only do the Monsterbuck folks make some of the best song-sounds this side of New Hampshire (huh?), they are also some of the most hospitable people you are likely to meet.

Monsterbuck = songwriter Chris Kowanko + bassist Byron Renderer + Scott Renderer = Why haven't you heard them? Recovery Lounge = a former Model-T(?) factory along a river + a current re-upholstery shop + theater space = perfect music venue. No math necessary after dark.

We spent a great two nights and mornings in the Land of Monsterbuck Believers and left better for it. You should listen to Monsterbuck and you should visit the Recovery Lounge . We suggest you put both on your list of things to do for yourself.
